Armadillo Cord - HMPE/Vectran
Armadillo Cord: Arete's 50% HMPE / 50% Vectran blend.
The Arete Cord options are 4 different materials, 100% of each one with a few select blends. Each one is available from 3mm to 8mm because specific projects demand specific needs. The tech specs have sigma 3 MBS strengths in a diverter (full strength), figure 8 and in a loop. Every cord has its own personality — just like the animals they’re named after.
Armadillo Cord - HMPE/Vectran - Armadillos are protected by armor. This is the highest tech cord of this entire zoo. 100% of fancy material sounds great but a 50/50 blend in the sheath gives you the best of both cords. This is similar to GLACIER BLACK NEWT but the core is 100% HMPE. Armadillo is not recommended for canyoning because NEWT floats with polypropylene as one of the materials in their core.
